I’ve received several messages lately asking me for vacation book suggestions.
They’ve been all different types of romantic genres and luckily, I have no hard limits when it comes to reading.
(I’m fictionally easy that way. 😉

Throughout the summer, I’ll sporadically post these 3 categories of romance books –

THE GOOD ~ Funny/cute/easy/medium to low angst.
(Still sexy of course)

THE BAD ~ Darker/suspenseful/steamy/medium to high angst.
(Uh … also sexy)
&
THE UGLY – Ugly cry books which always means angst.
(Ahem … um, yeah – still sexy – that’s the fun part)

Hopefully, this will give you a variety to choose from.

HAPPY MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP TIP

As I was telling COLLEEN HOOVER today …
(Don’t get excited, I was commenting on her post) 🤓

A couple of years ago I changed my husband’s contact name to Nick Bateman along with a profile picture of Nick shirtless. 😍

It was great because every time he called, I was always either laughing or smiling when I saw Nick appear and it made me sound like I was happy to hear from him when I answered.
Plus, he never knew because of course, he never called me when he was beside me.

So, my advice ~~ try it for acouple of days with Scott Eastwood, Milo Ventimiglia, Jason Mamoa, Dusan Susnjar, George Clooney – whoever you think is “mantastic” and see if you answer your phone with a smile. 😬

(Don’t let your kids see it if they’re tattletales.) 😘

I’ve found it hard to find friends who love to read as much as I do.
Sometimes after finishing an amazing book, I feel like I’m going to combust with feelings of joy/sadness/questions/love for the book boyfriend/love for the author.

I’ve found that being a member of an author group is cathartic.
You’re able to discuss the books with like minded people, share opinions and ask questions with someone who also took the same emotional rollercoaster ride as you just experienced. I’ve made so many sweet friends this way.

I read daily where people have said they wished they knew sooner that the group existed, so I decided to create this handy alphabetized list of the Facebook author groups, in which I’m a member.
(After looking at how long the list is I now understand why my kids are dressing out of their laundry baskets and my attic never gets de-cluttered.)

Bonus and Deleted Scenes

When reading a great book, I want to read it quickly so I can see what happens and how it ends, but after I’m done, I’m sad it’s over and I miss hanging out with the characters.
Um, ahem, ok … mostly with the swoony book boyfriends. 😉

Near the end of the books, I’ve caught myself stage whispering to my Kindle things such as, “Aww, that was sweet” or “It’s about freaking time, Dumbass” or a few times I’ve been ugly crying and it’s sounded more like a garbled, “Ohmygoodness, Nooooooooooo!!!!”. 🤓

If you would like to re-visit or spend some extra time with your favorite characters ~ you’re in luck.
